Minnesota Winter Nights

After stopping and picking up kiddos from in laws I found the right song on the radio that just makes you feel good, like anything is possible. The drive was smooth except for some of the slick spots still out there for another 10 weeks.  I peek over the hill to see a geourgous moon rising. I think to myself I have to get a shot of this.  As I get closer and closer to the house the moon was disappearing behind clouds.  I dart inside my warm house and grab my camera to be back outside in this –6 degree weather as I’m sloshing threw the snow to get in a great spot. The moon was disappearing faster then i could catch pictures of it. I marveled for the moment at its glowing girth. This made my night..no matter how cold it is nor how sloppy the snow is the earth still turns and we need to awe at its ongoing beauty. My shoes are drying and now I need a cup of coffee. Go and get your moment of awe.

It’s Lasagna Night

I love when my nephew comes to visit. We ran to town to pick up some groceries and I told him he could pick whatever he would like for supper and he choose lasagna.. Oh yum I said.  You think most kids would pick hotdogs or pizza well not this child.. We shopped for all the ingredients and returned home to start cooking.  He loves to be in the kitchen…a very hands on kind of kid.  We have so much fun together and he makes me laugh.  My husband took the pictures for today's blog. No special wizardry he told me just SOOC.  The meal was awesome we were stuffed and snuggled on the couch to catch the rest of the football games. I love Sundays.  So grab your niece or nephew and ask them what they want to do and roll with it.. It’s the memories that make the moments special.. Happy Monday all!!.

Its time for another Birthday in our house…

On this day at 5:55 p.m. I gave birth to a 6lb little peanut. She came out peeing and screaming and well nothing has changed much. She is the sweetest lovable child. Please do not ever upset her, she has a temper holy Hannah. She loves to be cuddeled, read to and danced with.  Her best friends are her dollies and the conversations she has between them you would think she is destined to be a talk show host.  She loves pizza and asks for spaghetti often.. Her meal is not complete without desert after supper and rarely likes veggies. She is my heart, She is my everything. We love and adore you sweet Gretta. Happy 7th Birthday today.

The snows a flying yet once again today.  I think I heard a good 4-6 inches projected to fall.  Good Ole G’pa is here to plow..ps I think he enjoys being in the green machine for the day.  The squirrely squirrels chase away the birds and they go back and forth. I get a kick out of this squirrel you have to sit and watch these rascals sometimes they are a riot. This is only one squirrel. I have named him Mr.. Red.  I’m pretty sure its the same squirrel everyday, he waits till I fill the feeder and then 10 minutes later when its quieted down outside here he comes. Then the birds come and he runs till another time…Happy Monday All. Hoping you take a little time to watch the squirrels.

Extreme Couponing : Programs : TLC : Discovery Press Web
My downtime I spend catching up on shows on the tele.., I saw this on and thought what the heck. Into watching this new show I suddenly realized are these people really saving money when this couple with no children have a basement full of food for the next 3-5 years. Don't things have expiration dates on them really who can use 48 bottles of Ranch Dressing in the next 18 months other than my husbands family ha ha. I watched as this man spent over $5,000 and only ended up paying $200 and some change for his groceries. The kicker people here is he pre-ordered yes i said pre-ordered boxes of Cereal ahead of time threw the grocery store to be there for the sale. He spent $1100.00 on cereal and after coupons I believe it was a little over $100.00.. Are you kidding me this could be the end of hunger here people..donating to food shelves all his boxes of cereal went. Totally awesome why haven't I actually thought of this being productive before seriously. Somehow I think that after seeing these peoples basements is this not a version of hoarding and are these people addicted to coupon clipping is this an addiction? We have 5 kids but when I try to clip coupons here and there usually in Sunday's Paper I find if anything maybe $3-$5 worth of coupons that would work for our family. There is always the coupons that you have to buy 10 of something to save a $1 is that really a savings? Or there is the coupon for the super sugary cereal I wont allow my kids to have, do I spoil them once in a while and get it because I have a coupon people? I have to believe its all a marketing bizarre out there trying to push the new items and most of the unhealthy items on us American citizens. Do we fall and start coupon clipping? I have to give it a try. I don't know if I can stay that focused to get those coupons in order. I figured I would have to organize coupons by aisle at my local store and go off that route and if you don't at least have 500-1000 coupons you wont be getting ahead in the game. Well I bid you ado my friends I'm off to clipping the coupons..
